Water levels are still high but falling steadily.  Water temps are up and clarity is still very good for river standards.

We used the whole arsenal this week to catch fish.  Pulling bait on bouncers and three-ways, dragging light jigs with bait, trolling crankbaits shallow on hardline and deep with leadline.  A lot of jumping around with a fish here and a fish there type of thing.  We did catch some nice fish as you can see in pics but the numbers game was a tough find most all week.

We spent time way up in the river to about midway through the lake with the most luck in 8-16 fow wherever we were.

We are finally seeing a steady drop in water levels, still WAY above normal but receding at a steady pace.  With a generally dry forecast we should see the water back in its banks by next week at this time.

In pics this week…..Dave Fladhammer with a decent eye caught on a floater/leech.

Leif Knecht is next with a Lake Pepin eye caught in about 8 fow on a #5 Shad Rap.

The next two are Steve and Shannon Hennessey with a nice eye and some nice crappies we caught while trolling small crankbaits in shallow water on the lake.

Last is Ron Remers with a 24” eye caught on a slow death hook and a crawler.
