Level and flow have dropped. Clarity remains good with water temps high for this time of year.

We have covered a lot of water since my last update. We moved through the spawn, post spawn and are quickly moving (prematurely) into summer patterns. The warm weather really catapulted the fish into very aggressive summertime mode.

I won't talk a lot about the spawn/post spawn but the quick summary would be...Very good but fish that were spread out due to abnormally low water. Fish were caught with all the normal patterns usually employed but covering a little more water was necessary to get results.

Low 50 degree water temps didn't last long so we blew right through to early summer patterns rather quickly. One day catching late spawning fish in the morning then dragging jigs/bait in the afternoon for fish set up in summertime haunts. We have been in this mode since the end of April as water temps jumped up into the 60s and levels have dropped like a rock.

It seems once again that our system is in good shape with great numbers of fish each day being the norm. One thing to note is the catches all spring have had a higher percentage of walleyes than saugers. This might be due to conditions as much as anything but will be interesting to see going forward how this plays out.

A wide range of pics below from pre spawn all the way up to present.
