Pretty normal to slightly low level and flow for mid-May.
We have moved through the spawn, post spawn and now are in pre summer patterns. Dragging jigs/bait downstream or pulling rigs/bait upstream have been the patterns of choice for the last 10 days. Crawlers, leeches or willow cats have been the baits depending on the day.
During the post spawn most fish were caught pulling crankbaits both up and downstream. This was really the way to catch them until the water got to the mid 50s. You can still catch them on cranks but rigs or jigs with bait have been far better as of late for my boat.
Pretty good size and numbers so far this year. Maybe a little off from years past but as you can see by pics we can't complain too much. We should roll right into full summer patterns by the looks of the near future forecast.
