Low for Spring but overall good conditions. Clarity about 12 inches.

Just a couple weeks into the Spring season and things are shaping up nicely. Fish are a little scattered as the levels and flow are lower than normal for this time of year. We always like it high as this drives fish out of the middle of the river and bunches them in current seams usually near shore. None the less we have had good catches for the last couple weeks.

Vertical jigging was the ticket before we had a slight raise in the river but now pulling Dubuque Rigs with plastic has been the preferred way to get bit in my boat. Many ways to catch them but this is a very efficient way to get everyone's rod bent with a few guys in the boat. A hand full of walleyes that have already spawned but still on the front end of it imo with the saugers to spawn a little after.
