Once again we will look back at what transpired in the past 12 months to see just what made 2025 what it was on the river.

We had generally low water in the spring and as normal we had a very good bite. Early March found us concentrating in deeper stretches to get bit and by late March forward we found fish shallower with a few different presentations being productive.

With the lower water spring our fish didn't waste any time heading down river after the spawn. We caught huge numbers of fish in areas between the dam and the lake. It was evident that with low and still falling water levels the fish were headed south and quickly.

Our bite was pretty solid until high dirty water worked through the system in late June and lasted well into July. We were forced into tributaries and anywhere we could find cleaner water to get bit.

Very little rain from August through Fall kept levels on the low side but overall the walleye bite was pretty good. Consistent catches lasted through November.

Starting in September we always chase panfish. This year the Bluegill bite was on point as usual with numbers and size being quite good. Crappies were nice but finding numbers were a challenge for no explainable reason.

I will start my 22nd year of guiding this March. I have no plans of stopping any time soon although I might slow down a bit in the near future. Thanks to all that come to spend some time in my boat as I still thoroughly enjoy it.

I again will post below a few pics and also the number of legal sized fish caught in my boat per full day trip by month.
