Flow and level are up and clarity is down but recovering.

The biggest news this past week was the heavy rains we received just north of the area we fish.  Last Sunday night our area was pounded with heavy rains which led to some really dirty and rising water.  This took care of our chances to catch fish in the upper stretches of the river most all week but we are on the road to recovery as the water has crested and is starting to clear.

Last week was pretty abbreviated for me but we were able to get down to the lake and find some cleaner water.  We pulled crankbaits in many areas to get bit and although the bite was pretty tough we did manage to get bit enough to keep it interesting.  Jack Fehr and Sheryl Curl are pictured below with some nice fish we were able to coax.
