Low flow and clear water are still the conditions on the river near Red Wing.

We were able to get back at it this past week. Low flow and clear water send us in the direction of light rigs with live bait. This is usually one of the presentations that can get it done under these conditions and it held true to form.

These rigs pulled downstream at the speed of the current were the key to getting bit and will probably continue to be until we get an uptick in current. Usually as soon as this happens we will switch gears and plastic baits will become our go tos.

We are set up for another great year on the river.  With a lot of snow on the ground here and up north we should have a lot of high water ahead of us which is always a good thing for river anglers.
